IThe Brief

The atelier needed what it makes for others: an identity that proves itself on contact. No stock imagery, no template, no borrowed shine — if the house sells hand-cut work, the house's own front had to be hand-cut evidence.

Harder still: this house sells invisibles. Backends, pipelines, inference economics — work whose whole point is that nobody notices it. An atelier that trades in the unseen must let you see its hands anyway, or the claim of craft is just vocabulary. So the site itself is the demonstration piece: the interface is built by hand, and the local-first production discipline behind it is the same one the atelier offers to clients.

IIThe Cut

The site's centerpiece is a generative gem engine: a ring rendered as an ASCII point-cloud, lit by a moving light, each point quantized to a character ramp and drawn live — a stone made of type. Hover, and an optical loupe magnifies the cut under your cursor: the jeweller's instrument, turned on the jeweller's own work. Nothing on the page is decoration; the ornament is the engineering.

Around the stone, the house system: cream and sand grounds, ruby for the blade, Spectral for the voice, mono for the bench. Each commission carries its own generative signature — a blueprint drawn by code, not a screenshot — the house refuses stock imagery even where no one is named. The motto, Ora et Labora, sits where a hallmark sits: small, permanent, load-bearing.

IIIThe Setting

The enginePoint-cloud geometry, live lighting, character-ramp quantization, a real loupe with chromatic fringing. No runtime libraries. A bespoke implementation.
The meshThree machines, three architectures, one pull-queue — the atelier's own inference bench, doing bulk work at the cost of electricity. Measured, not claimed: the numbers live on the Bench section.
The disciplineLocal first when it doesn't cost quality; the strongest intelligence reserved for judgment. The same economics offered to clients, running under this very page.
The registerNo invented clients, no hype vocabulary, every public number carrying a date and a method. The moat is that all of it is true.
The signaturessignatures.js draws each commission's blueprint generatively, in the house palette, at render time — engraving by hand instead of pasting a photograph.
The silenceNo cookies, no third-party trackers, no analytics script watching you read. A house that sells sovereignty does not surveil its own guests.

IVThe Hallmark

The bench where the work is cut — and the standing proof that the house practices what it sells. The mesh that runs a 60-item job in 6.0 seconds against 19.1 on its strongest single node drafted parts of this site; the pull-queue discipline described on the Bench ran the bulk work; the frontier intelligence was spent only where judgment was needed. The method, eating its own cooking.

VCommentary

The honest risk of a piece like this: a generative hero costs frames, and frames cost battery. So the engine keeps manners — reduced motion paints a single still; hidden tabs draw nothing; coarse pointers are capped; below the fold it idles. Restraint is not the absence of capability. It is capability, governed.
